Long time no write...

So now that I have the house to myself I think I will take the time to update....some.

So as I have posted on the Family reunion blog, I'm pregnant! I'm super excited and have been waiting a long time. I'm due July 13th. I'm excited because my sister is pregnant too and visiting from Ohio this month and has invited me to come to her home birth at the end of February. So I finally get to see a birth before my own. If anyone has any advice for me oh how to better assist her while I'm there, I would appreciate it.

I'm still working with the Glencoe Dance team and loving it. We have finished our fall competitions and have moved in to state season. I'm really excited this year to see my vision come to life. Yes, MY vision. I didn't think any of my ideas would be taken seriously for a while. But collaborating ideas with the rest of the coaches, they all agreed and really liked my idea. So I'm having two babies this coming year. I'll post the details of the show in a later post because there is a lot to explain.

My friend Karen has moved out of our down stairs room this weekend. She was here for about 3-4 months with her 2 year old daughter till she could get back on her feet and figure how what she wanted to do from here. It was at times a little stressful having 3 families living here, and now it will hopefully go back to normal.

Let's see what else.....

Our chickens are taking the cold weather very personally. I get maybe one egg a day from the chicken I didn't expect it from. The water keeps freezing over so I hope they get some water between the time I get out there and break it and when it freezes over again. I think I just need to move the heat lamp a little closer to the dish.

I haven't been as crafty lately but I still want to post the things I have made. It's fun because I'm learning from my many mistakes but I think I'm getting better. My latest creation was fun but hard and I messed up a few places but I think it turned out really well for coming out of my head. Usually when I think of something cool to make, and try to make it, doesn't turn out a think like I thought it would. "it was way cuter in my head" but with that, I'm figuring out how to better replicate my ideas into material things the more trial and mostly error.

Timmy, the love of my life, is the sweetest father to be. He is so excited to have a child together and sometime says the most gooey sweet things. We had a rough patch earlier this year that has made him the most loving and compassionate person, and a really great husband. He will wait on me if I ask him to, clean up when I don't have the energy, get me a bowl of cereal at 2 in the morning. I truly do Love him.

Chickens

I am now getting two eggs a day. and i thought they were the same kind of chicken but when I went out to look for the egg. I found this egg. It looks so cool. So far I have gotten two of these darker brown ones, two days in a row! I love having chickens.

Trampoline!

I finally found the trampoline I have been looking for on Craigs list. I'm so excited to jump and star gaze on it. It makes me feel like a little kid again and is such a fun work out. Tag was the first to get on it once we set it up. He's still a little scared to really jump but I'm sure he will get past that soon enough.

Back home...for a while

So.... It has been quite a fun adventure the past couple of months.

From May 19th through the 26th, I was in southern California with Karen and her daughter visiting my sister, the zoo and Disneyland! San Diego Zoo is huge! I didn't see the Pandas only because the line was massive and it was really hot out side and we had a fussy 16 month old. But once we were at Disneyland, She was So so excited to see Mickey Mouse. She knew who it was right away and just ran up and hugged him. We got some really good pictures. It was a bit of a dramatic trip too. Kyra was having a hard time on the plane... long story short, I got to spend the last hour of the trip home in airplane peanut puke. good times.

Then we had our house party! It was so much fun and I'm glad most of you could make it. Most of the food was taken home thankfully and I'm so excited to have my neighbors. They are all so nice.

Then we whisked away with Wallen and Quincy's Family, and Jon and Julie to Hawaii June 2nd through the 13th. It was a blast! We didn't get to stay with Quincy and Wallen much but we got to eat a delicious meal at Wallen's family's house and enjoyed all of their talents. Best dinner and impromptu show ever. We got to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center for the first time for me and it was great. The shows are so entertaining. We got some good video of one of the guys that Wallen worked with and he pointed him out in the middle of the show and we totally got it on film. It was just so beautiful there. We stayed in 2 hotels and one condo which was awesome. Saw my first real cockroach. Gross.
Tim and Jon had a blast renting motorcycles. we all rode the trip to Hana and stopped a lot along the way. So much nicer to do that trip on a bike rather than a car. The next morning the boys took another ride with just them two while Julie and I sat out and soaked up the sun.
It was just over all a good trip with great food and great company and housing. really fun. Sucsess!

Home again

Wow I am finally home again. I just got back from a trip with my friend Karen and her 17 month old in San Diego. It was a good and bad trip. Over all it was pretty fun. It is a long story which I will have to share later when I'm not hustling and bustling around the house to get ready for the party I hope you can all come to! And then off again on another vacation! It's exciting but exhausting, in a good way. More to come later.

Save the date...

For our house party! I don't really know what a house warming party is so I don't want to call it that. So it's just a house party. I hope everyone checked their email, if I had your email, and RSVPed to my Evite. If you haven't, gimmy your email. I really hope most of the family can make it early to spend some time together before the rest of the guests come. :-D I'm really excited! It will be fun. If you want to hike the property bring some muddy shoes.

Welcome to our new home! It will still take a few weeks to finalize everything but this is it. I don't want to put many pictures up because I want you to come see it for yourself. I have already started packing! YAY! This will be hopefully my last move ever. I'm excited!

Gratitude

I get little "ah HA" moments often that I think I should start writing down. They usually are nothing new but jut hit me in a different light. I am so grateful for my body the Lord has given me. He has given me a talent of Dance (I would like to think), And I know some day he will bless me to become whole so I may dance again. I knew I would be grateful for my trail some day and now I think I truly am. Because of my body and the trail it is going through, I have received a rare blessing to share. I love giving and having the means to do it.

Please, my shoulder is a blessing. It doesn't need to be a topic of sorrow. There are times I do wish it was better, but all in good time.

This is a picture off my old phone that I took of Indi when we first got her and were going to Mom and Dads at the Manzanita house. The car ride there was when we came up with her name of Indigo. Look how small she is, and white. She's the best

This is a vent

Warning. This entry is for me to drain my emotions. This is not a happy post...just so you know.

So Today I met with Dr. Switlyk, well his assistant Julie, to talk of more shoulder stuff. My nerve test was flawless meaning my nerves are working just fine and communicating with each other like they are supposed to. There is not explanation as to why my muscule aren't growing to use the motion I can passivly get. The michanics of my replacment limit me to a point but my muscules should still carry me up to that point if they exsisted. Basically it comes down to this, I will be in pain for the rest of my life. The pain will get worse and worse. When I deside I can't bear the pain any longer, I will get the complete shoulder replacement. Which means, They will put a new socket on by drilling into the bone and screwing it in. After 15 years when it will enevitably fail (30% fail in 15 years), I will have to get it taken out, and get a bone graff to fill in the hole, basically putting me back to where I am now with bone on metal joint. And now we have come full painful circle. You can tell I'm exstatic.

Dance Team

State Dance Competition was this last Wednesday and Thursday and we preformed pretty well. We didn't place very high but the girls had fun. It was kind of a rough year jumping in in the middle of it. Next year will be much better and much more organized. We basically had practice all week on Monday night, Tuesday morning and Tuesday night, then competition on Wednesday and Thursday. My birthday was in there some where. Jon and Julie got Tim and I a picture of us together from our sealing that we can put up on the wall, It was so sweet of them to do since we didn't really have one. And I love it. I just don't know where to put it. Tim got me a few things as well, he was really sweet about it and put some thought into each thing. We lit Julies cake twice so I had some candles to blow out too.

Timmy's Brithday

Tim's birthday was On the 5th of this month and turned out pretty well I think. We went out to lunch in down town Portland at Todai's with Jon, my sister, her husband and their friend and had some sushi. It was really good. Later we had a couple friends come over and I made my first successful chocolate home made cake with the help and recipe of Julie. It was splendid. The bad thing is now I have to do it every year and hope it turns out just as good. I set the bar too high for myself. I didn't know what to get Tim that was cool so I just got him things I knew he wanted but weren't all that fun in my opinion. He got a multi-extension cord, a LED hanging work light, some slippers from Jon and Julie, Some gorilla tape, Shaving cream, and this outlet checker thingy from newegg.com (yeah I don't know he said he wanted it some day). We played some games and watched some movies. The next day, Friday, I took him out to dinner with another set of our friends to The Grand Lodge McMinimims in Forest Grove. It's Huge and really cool. We had dinner while being serinated by a good guitar player and then went up stairs to one of the theaters to watch a $3 movie. We could have gotten a room to stay at and use their spa but we both had early mornings the next day. It was a good birthday for him. On top of that, Quincy and the angel she is, threw Tim, Julie and myself a suprise birthday party on Sunday. I was so excited I got presents. I wasn't expecting any of that I just felt so privilaged and loved. Robert, Leavi, Jayden, and Cole came and got me a present too (well Danelle got it. Miss you being there Danelle and Kyzen). She got me a framed saying that says "always kiss me good night" and I love it. Quincy got me some gardening tools and seeds to help me start my garden soon. I'm so excited to get started; and my little clay worm that tells me when I need to water. Thank you so much. I will post some pictures when Julie teaches me how.

HBO to air portions of temple ceremonies

HBO's "Big Love" is set to air segments of the LDS temple ceremony in a replica of an endowment and Celestial room and using replications of temple clothing. This episode is supposed to air Sunday, March 15th and 9/8c. The attached file is the page from the TV Guide that contains the article - as well as a photo.

If you feel compelled to, please file complaints with HBO/Time Warner and with the FCC.

HBO is owned by Time Warner:

Time Warner, Inc.

One Time Warner Center

New York, NY 10019-8016

212.484.8000

To file a complaint online, go to: http://www..hbo.com/apps/submitinfo/contactus/submit.do?title=GeneralInformation&questiontype=generalInformation&questiontype=general

Suggestions

Here are two things you might want to RESPECTFULLY say in your own words to HBO:

"I believe it is wrong for HBO to publicly air portions of sacred ceremonies of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints without permission from the church and based on information obtained by someone who has left the church and may harbor bad feelings toward the church."

And the big one that will ALWAYS get their attention:

"If you air such an episode, I will cancel my subscription to all HBO channels as well as any of its affiliates. I will also refuse to purchase any other entertainment products associated with HBO in any way. And I will encourage my friends and family to do the same."

To file a complaint with the FCC, go to: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

1. Choose "Broadcast (TV and Radio), Cable, and Satellite Issues." Then click NEXT.

2. Choose "Broadcast programs showing obscene, profane, and/or indecent material." Then click NEXT.

3. Click "Online Form" then fill out the form with your information and your complaint.

Something you may want to say RESPECTFULLY in your own words to the FCC:

Express your shock and dismay at HBO treating the sacred ceremonies of any religion with such mockery and disregard. Also mention the shady practice of hiring excommunicated/enemies of the Church and giving them a public pulpit to intentionally hurt millions of people around the world.

Along with the email I got was a picture attached of the temple clothes they will be wearing for the reenactment. I do not want to post this picture but if you are interested in seeing it I will send it to you.

Nerve Test

So I had a nerve test a week or so ago that I'm still bruised from. Turns out I don't have any nerve damage which is good of course but means there isn't anything else I can do for my shoulder. The muscles are responsive on the out side, it's the deeper muscles and scapula that are weak. So, that's about it. It has been a bit more painful since the nerve test, so I'm hoping warmer weather will come soon. Or maybe I will just go to where the warm weather is.

Houses

So we put an offer on a house. Kind of exciting. My goal was to find the house I want to be a grandma in. We found this stunning house that has been on the market for at least 2 years so they are a little anxious to sell it which is good for us. It has a lot of potential. I hope by maybe the end of the month we will have a better idea of how soon we will be moving.

I can blog now!

It is Finally OVER! Yay. We have settled our case and are free to go on with our lives. The trial still continues for 4 of the other plaintifs but Tim and I have agreed to settle for the amount offered. It hasn't really hit me yet but I am releived. I think it will still take me a while to get back to me again, who ever that might be. I am greatful for this trial in my life and how it has made me stronger, even though I will forever be weaker with my shoulder. The Lord knows best.
